Under the bridge is an indoor structure lined with rooms.

The wings cut down into the side of the canyon. Windows, balconies, and terraces descend the side of canyon and disappear under the water.
River Level
Docks on the Cutting side that allow reception of guests, deliveries, and mail.
Under the River
☵ Water Sanctum enchantment keeps the river at bay allowing structures to be constructed under a dome of water.
Use
Rooms are distributed between the Cutting and Blooming wings by function. The Cutting Wing has the rooms for formal reception, formal dining, ballroom, offices, ancestral shrine, and training. The Blooming Wing has the rooms for the kitchen, informal dining, informal parlor, and guest rooms.
The rooms under the river are dedicated to the Master and their family.
Much of the Manor has gone into disuse since the gutted the family and servants. Mulsae is the only remaining resident.
Maintenance
Helpful Spirits have been attracted to maintain the house. Regular rituals and acknowledgement of respect must be done to feed and attract these Spirits. Many spirits have abandoned the Manor since the because Mulsae does not know all of the rituals required to attract and maintain them.
Notable Spirits
Cooking
A kitchen spirit focused on food and nourishment. It appears as faint orangered glowing steam in the air and makes itself known by moving around pots, pans, and tools as it prepares food.
Maintenance: A small shrine in the kitchen and lighting candles and incense before each meal. Also needs a weekly offering of your own cooking.
Fabric
A fabric or weaving spirit that continuously goes through the house maintaining the fabric of clothes, linen, towels, blankets, even curtains and upholstery. It keeps fabric fresh and clean. Its presence is known by the smell of freshness and the ruffling of fabric.
Maintenance: Monthly offerings of exotic fabrics.
Cleaning
Pleco fish like spirits that slink around the house cleaning surfaces. Can be seen with the naked eye. They are the length of a forearm, dark, and pleco like.
Maintenance: Leave messes for them to eat, like dirty plates, spilled drinks, and muddy shoes. Talk to them regularly and make them feel welcome and safe.
Damion sees something move along the shelf. It's as long as his arm—dark, narrow, and ridged down the spine, ending in a twitching, fish-like tail. It wriggles forward like a slug, slow and steady across the books.
He leans in, curious.
“Cleaning spirits,” Mulsae says. “Ugly little things, but they adore praise.” He smiles at it. “Isn’t that right? You love when I appreciate your work. Even if all you’re really doing is feeding off my house.” It wriggles more in response and irredescent sparkles ripple along it's surface.
He chuckles, turning back to Damion. “Their mouths are hideous—big circular suckers. Disgusting. But useful. They clear out dust and filth better than any servant ever could.”
Guardian
Roams the premise’s perimeter monitoring for intruders. Can alert their presence. Can shift into a net-like form to either form a barrier or capture. They appear as clusters of shimmering light that shifts into a pearlescent shimmering net.
Maintenance: Pay respects every time you cross the perimeter. An elaborate ritual on each solstice.
Organizing
Puts things away and accepts deliveries. Appears as a moving black mist grasping and moving things around.
Maintenance: Be tidy. Although it likes to organize, it wants you to respect its work. Requires a large ritual to initially attract the spirit but then it becomes entrenched. If its presence is neglected, the spirit becomes volatile—first misplacing objects, then breaking them, and eventually lashing out physically. If left unaddressed, it will abandon the home entirely, leaving chaos in its wake.
Fire
A flame spirit that inhabits all lit fires in the home—candles, hearths, lanterns. It provides warmth without consuming fuel: candles will glow without melting, hearths will heat rooms without burning wood. It lights and extinguishes itself as needed, always seeking the comfort of the house's residents. The flames are the spirit, and it can be seen dancing more eagerly when its presence is appreciated.
Creation: A descendant of the Flame Sanctum performs a ritual involving imprinting a Flame Trigram sigil in the central hearth. That hearth then must never be extinguished else the spirit is released back to the Spirit Realm.
Maintenance: While it does not consume wood or wax, the spirit appreciates having something to eat. Put a real log in the central hearth for it to consume as often as possible. On the summer solstice, give it an offering of value for it to consume.
Plot note: Hanna Linwood kept talking to the fire, anthropomorphizing it. Damion tried to tell her it was silly. After returning to the Manor, he takes up her habit of talking to the fire. He discovers the Flame spirit actually will respond!
