Blaze is more of a behavior and avenue for behavior than it is a state. An inert object, like an iron ball, won’t have any Blaze to drain. It is the parts where escalation live. The part where it transitions activity. Infusing Blaze and baking with Fire gives direct ignition and pursuit.

Blaze trigram embodiment
A rare power where a Starborne caster’s body becomes a living embodiment of Blaze for less than 5 seconds. A Sanctum Master must rest for five minutes, and lesser casters require exponentially longer resting time. Mixed-trigram casters cannot embody a trigram.
They repeat one action repeatedly at rapid speed for a moment or two. This could be inhumanly fast running, or inhumanly fast punches. It is a flurry of activity.
Blaze-enhancing tools
Striker ring. Two metal rings, on the thumb and forefinger, that when struck together creates a spark. A Blaze caster can then flare that spark into a ball of fire they can manipulate.
Resin chalk. Stub of resin like a wax pencil. Can be drawn on a surface and ignited.
