Harmura is located on a small peninsula off of one of the planet’s major continents. The planet has several continents and vast oceans, but Harmura Tales focuses on just the wider Harmuran region, where the Celestials work left the densest concentration of magic. The land greatly influences politics, because geography controls travel, resources, and who can hold power.

The Land
Peninsula of Harmura
Peninsula of HarmuraThe land that Harmura occupies attaches to the Continental Mainland along its northern border. To the southeast, across the Straits of Harmura, lies its only other major neighbor, the Archipelago of Shinra.
It takes roughly twenty-four hours for a Windborne to fly across the diameter of the peninsula.
Memory has forgotten what this peninsula was like before the Celestials terraformed it. Today it is divided into nine distinct areas: a central mountain surrounded by eight uniquely designed territories. Each has its own topography and weather patterns, shaped into a living ecosystem that expresses one of the eight Trigram Magic. The result is extreme geographic and ecological diversity packed into a small region, with an unusually dense spread of natural resources.
Archipelago of Shinra
Archipelago of ShinraThe land that Shinra occupies. It is a series of densely packed archipelago of islands of various sizes off the eastern coast of the Continental Mainland. Its closest neighbor is the Peninsula of Harmura, just across the Straits of Harmura. To the southeast lies the Shinra Sea, and the southwest is the Meridan Sea. Beyond it, the expansive Farreach Ocean surrounds the archipelago.
Continental Mainland
Continental MainlandA large continent composed of many territories. The small Peninsula of Harmura is attached to its eastern coastline, along with the Archipelago of Shinra farther offshore. The expansive Farreach Ocean borders the continent’s eastern edge.
There is a long mountain spine along the eastern shore. It is broken only by the artificially transformed Peninsula of Harmura, and the dangerous waters of Dragon’s Pass.

Meridan Sea
Meridan SeaThe body of water to the south of the Peninsula of Harmura and the southwest of the Archipelago of Shinra. Dragon’s Pass opens into these waters.
Farreach Ocean
